Dana Peroni, DVM, CVA

Dr. Dana Peroni graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. She worked in equine practice for several years in Michigan and also did research on upper airway disease in horses for a year at Michigan State. She and her husband, Dr. John Peroni, moved to Athens in 2000 when he was hired as a Large Animal surgeon at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr Dana Peroni opened Covered Bridge Equine in September of 2002. She likes working with horses of all disciplines, from backyard horses to miniatures and sport horses. Dr. Peroni has two horses, an Arabian named Dusty and a Quarter horse named Patrick. Dr. Peroni enjoys trail riding with friends, walking her two dogs (Clover and Zucchini), dancing, reading, and doing yoga. The Peroni's have 2 kids, Julia and Luca. Dr. Peroni is certified in acupuncture (CVA) for horses and in chiropractic (for dogs and horses) and enjoys incorporating alternative therapies into practice.
Paige Williams Hix, DVM

Dr. Paige Hix is a graduate from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, where she also earned a Masters degree in Animal Science. Dr. Hix is from Hephzibah, GA, where she grew up riding and training horses on her family's farm. Prior to vet school, she actively competed in both Western and English disciplines at the state and regional level and has won a few AQHA all-around awards. Dr. Hix and her husband, Jeffrey, have a toddler, Bryce, one large goofy lab, three cats, and several horses. Outside of her equine activities, Dr. Williams enjoys roping, watching movies, gardening, and hanging out with her little buddy Bryce. She is certified in equine chiropractic and massage and enjoys providing these additional therapies. She also loves working on donkeys!
Bliss Swan, DVM

Welcome to CBE Dr. Bliss Swan!! Dr. Bliss moved here from North Carolina several years ago and is originally from Illinois. She graduated from the Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and completed an internship at Southern Equine in Aiken. She is also certified in equine chiropractic as well! When she's not at CBE, she enjoys going for hikes with her dogs and Jack, and spending time with her two horses, Shark and Chance. Her professional interests are all aspects of general practice and is excited to integrate alternative therapies with her chiropractic care.
