Policies

  • Rabies Vaccination Policy (effective beginning April 15, 2020)

    • All patients must be vaccinated for Rabies, which is a fatal disease in horses and can easily be passed on to humans or other animals.  This vaccination must be administered by a veterinarian under Georgia law.

    • In order to protect our veterinary staff and clients we will be requiring all new clients to present proof of rabies vaccination or to schedule an appointment for rabies vaccination prior to performing routine or emergency work.

    • In cases of horses with a history of vaccine reactions, we can work with you to develop an appropriate protection strategy on a case by case basis.

  • Payment is due at the time of service. In order to facilitate convenience in this matter, we  are happy to accept payment via all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard,American Express, and Discover).

  • All medications are non-refundable and non-returnable.

  • Health certificates are needed to travel outside of state lines.  You must have a current Coggins to be able to obtain a health certificate. Please allow 48 hours advanced notice for health certificates to allow for scheduling whenever possible.

  • Many clients directly call our doctors cell phone numbers. Unless we specifically request for you to call us on our cell phones, we kindly ask that you avoid calling us directly and instead call our office. Our office staff is happy to assist you during office hours and will reach us with messages when we have finished our farm call. Our cell phones also serve as the route in which our emergency service locates us, so we need to keep the lines available for this inevitability. We will make every effort to return calls the day we receive them. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
